The common inclination of most people is to do the minimum it takes to get by. If you look at these people carefully, you will observe this “getting by” as temporary and little benefit is being received in return. Why is that?

Two Major Reasons Why You Must Practice This Law:

  1. Just like any other form of conditioning, you become stronger with use and you atrophy with little or no use
  2. By rendering better service than that for which you are paid, you are turning the spotlight on yourself. Through this law of cause and effect there will be a continuous increase in the demand for your services

By rendering more service and better service than that for which you are paid, you will stand in bold contrast to others in your line of service. If you feel under appreciated; through continuously increasing effort and persistence, doors will open you did not know existed. Do not worry about where the returns will come because it is a universal law, they will come. Just feel good about the excellent service you provided and let the Universe do the rest.

“You Can Do It if You Believe You Can”

“The man who masters himself is delivered from the force that binds all creatures.”
~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Enthusiasm is the vital quality that arouses you to action, while Self-Control is the balance wheel that directs your actions so that it will build up and not tear down. Self-control is the ability to direct your thoughts, and thus your actions, in the pursuit of your definite chief aim.

“The growth of wisdom may be gauged accurately by the decline of ill-temper.”
~Friedrich Nietzsche

Self-control is solely a matter of thought control. Place in your own mind through the principle of auto-suggestion, the positive, constructive thoughts that harmonize with your Definite Chief Aim in life, and that mind will transform those thoughts into physical reality and hand them back to you with a finished product. When you deliberately choose the thoughts that dominate your mind, and firmly refuse admittance to outside suggestion, you are exercising Self-Control in the highest form.

Both tears and sweat are salty, but they will render different results. Tears will get you sympathy, sweat will get you change.
~JJesse Jackson

I wish to be of service to others as I journey through life. To do this I have adopted this creed as a guide to be followed in dealing with my felling beings.
To train myself so that never, under any circumstances, will I find falut with any person, no matter how much I may disagree with them or how inferior their work may be, as long as I know they are sincerely trying to do their best.
To respect my country, my profession, and myself. To be honest and fair with others, as I expect them to be honest and fair with me. To be a loyal citizen of my country. To speak of it with praise, and act always as a worthy custodian of its good name. To be a person whose name carries weight wherever it goes.
To base my expectations of reward on a solid foundation of service rendered. To be willing o pay the price of success in honest effort. To look upon my work as an opportunity to be seized with joy and made the most of, and not as a painful drudgery to be reluctantly endured.
To remember that success lies within myself-in my own brain. To expect difficulties and to force my way through them.
to avoid procrastination in all its forms, and never, under any circumstances, put off until tomorrow any duty that should be performed today.
Finally, to take a good drip on the joys of life, so I may be courteous to others, faithful to friends, true to God- a fragrance in the path I tread.

The lucky or successful person has learned a simple secret. Call up, capture, evoke the feeling of success. When you feel successful and self-confident you will act successfully. ~Maxwell Maltz

The greatest leaders are the ones who know how to inspire enthusiasm in their followers. Enthusiasm is the most important factor entering into salesmanship, and, by far, the most vital factor that enters into public speaking.

Enthusiasm is the vital force with which you recharge your body and develop a dynamic personality.

Happiness the final object of all human effort, is a state of mind that can be maintained only through the hope of future achievement. The happy person is the one who dreams of heights of achievement that are yet unattained

You may develop enthusiasm over you Definite Chief Aim in life whether you are in position to achieve that purpose at this time or not. you may be a long way from realization of your Definite Chief Aim, but if you will kindle the fire of Enthusiasm in your heart, and keep it burning, before very long the obstacles that now stand in the way of your attainment of that purpose will melt away as if by magic, and you will find yourself in possession of power that you did not know you possessed.

If your thoughts and your actions and your words harmonize, you are bound to influence others.

Peak performers are people who approach any set of circumstances with the attitude that they can get it to turn out the way they want it to, Not once in a while. Regularly. They can count on themselves. ~Charles Garfield

Deliberately place in your own mind, through the principle of autosuggestion, the ambition to succeed through the aid of a Definite Chief Aim, and notice how quickly all of your latent or underdeveloped ability in the nature of past experiences will become stimulated and aroused to action on your behalf. Mix these suggestions with deep rooted enthusiasm. It is the fertilizer of the mind that will ensure its rapid growth as well as its permanency.

It is not so much what you say as it is the TONE and MANNER in which you say it that makes a lasting impression. One must employ the sincerity of purpose, honesty, and earnestness behind all that one says to make a lasting and favorable impression. Nobody can afford to express, through words or acts, anything that is not in harmony with heir own belief, and if they do, they myst pay by the lost of their ability to influence others.

Real Influence Demands Real Character

An appearance of prosperity raises your self-confidence and attracts attention always, with no exceptions whatsoever. A look of prosperity attracts favorable attention, because the one dominating desire in every human heart is to be prosperous.

We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.
~Charles Kingsley

Imagination is creative soul power that turns dreams into reality. Every other lesson in the Law of Success is made possible through the constructive use of imagination. Start by imagining yourself being imaginative. Begin by carrying around a small notebook with you to write down ideas that come to you as often as possible. You must learn to focus your imagination and act on the right ideas that you develop. For this to work at its best, the six basic fears should be confronted and a chief aim must be decided.

The entire seventeen lessons harmonize and blend with each other so that they constitute a perfect chain that has been built, link by link, out of the factors that enter into the development of power through organized effort.

Leadership is something that you must invite yourself into; it will never thrust itself upon you. If you will carefully analyze all leaders whom you know, you will see that they not only exercised initiative but they also went about their work with a definite chief aim possessed by self-confidence.

In these lessons you are taught to secure your definite chief plan and lay out a complete plan to turn this aim into reality. Then backed by confidence, take initiative to put your plan into action. Organize a master mind that in harmony, promotes the interests of everyone in the group.

Amidst all the mysteries by which we are surrounded, no thing
is more certain then that we are in the presence of an infinite and eternal
supply from which all things proceed” ~ Herbert Spencer

The first step to achieving total self confidence is the elimination of the six basic fears. Fear is nothing more than a state of mind. Take confidence that one may choose to control and direct his mind. Nature has endowed you with the gift to control your thoughts and everything you create begins in your thoughts. The three stages in the development of fear are, in order, indecision, doubt, and fear. Indecision turns to doubt and they combine together to form fear. Be aware because these stages can crop up on you without your recognition. Create a fertile state of mind, by eliminating any traces of fear, to cultivate your dreams to full harvest.
